The Supreme Head, Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Dr Prophet Solomon Alao, has insisted that all the doctrines and beliefs of the church are firmly rooted in the Bible.
He said this at the Seraph Media Summit held recently at Seraphim land, Maba, Ogun State.
Baba Alao, as fondly called by the church members, stated, “C&S doctrines and beliefs are divinely revealed and firmly rooted in the Bible; from our mode of dressing to worship and hymnals. The scripture is our compass and this is the reason why God dwells in our midst and the Holy Spirit manifests himself whenever we worship God in truth and in spirit.”
He lamented that despite the physical and spiritual support of the church to the country, certain people still took joy in tagging the C&S in ungodly names, which negate the essence of the church.
Baba Alao added, “I plead with them to fear God and desist from such act. I know we have a few bad eggs amongst us, but this is not peculiar to our church alone. We cannot divide the body of Christ.”
He also stated that any church, prophet or prophetess using other things beyond water and anointing oil for prayers was not part of the C&S Church.
“Anybody who engages in blood rituals or idolatry practices is not part of us because Jesus has shed his blood for us on the cross of calvary and no other blood is acceptable again.
” People need to know that not all Christians who wear the white garment as their official dressing for worship are C&S members. You should always mention the church of the offender, instead of just writing that a prophet of a white garment church has done this or that, ” he said.
He noted that the C&S Church had contributed immensely to making the society better by providing clinics and schools to various communities, adding that their tertiary institution, Moses Orimolade University in Omu Aran, Kwara State, would soon take off.
He said he was grateful to God that a programme to educate the people about the real essence of the C&S Church was thought of.
Baba Alao stated, “This is a day that God has purposely designed to let the world know our true identity as a Bible-believing church and correct some of the misconceptions that are capable of confusing the public about the Cherubim and Seraphim church.
” I sincerely thank the organisers of this programme that thought it wise to actualise my charge to the delegates at the 2019 Annual General Conference of the church where I declared that we had to do more in our media engagement and publicise our activities, doctrine and beliefs.
“At that conference, we opened a dedicated account for that purpose to underscore the importance of publicity, which we have not been taking seriously. We seem to be publicity-shy but the time has come to blow our trumpet.”
He, however, advised prophets who were prophesying negative and bleak future for the country to desist from the act.
He noted, “God loves Nigeria and the country will surely overcome her challenges. Our future as a nation is bright because God answers our prayers. We need to continue to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and all our state governors.”
