The Minister-in-Charge, Sacred Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Idapo Mimo, Ifelodun Parish, Iju-Ogundimu, Elder Apostle Samuel Kehinde Akindele (JPil), has gone to be with The Lord after a meritorious life of service in the vineyard.
He slept in the Lord on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the ripe age of 81.
He was born on October 15, 1939, at Iju ogundimu in the old Ikeja division of Lagos state, now Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area, to the family of the late Elder Apostle Isaac Fadairo Akindele.
Elder Apostle Samuel Akindele attended the Cherubim & Seraphim Church. He was ordained the Patron of Sacred C&S Church, Idapo Mimo Headquarters in 1997 after the death of his father, the founder and first minister-in-charge of the church.
Elder Apostle Samuel Kehinde Akindele was ordained Minister-in-charge of the church in 1998.
He has since presided over the affairs of the church with unprecedented progress and served God with love, diligence and strong faith.
Elder Apostle Samuel Kehinde Akindele, who was also the Balogun onigbagbo of Iju ogundimu Land, was a good leader whose desire always was for all things to work well without any chance for failure.
Elder Apostle Akindele was a straightforward person who would not doublespeak.
He upheld justice and fairness. He’s life revealed a man of dogged determination, reliability and trustworthiness who would not call a spade by another name.
Akindele was a giver who would stand by you in difficult times.
He would never hesitate to spend his resources on the growth and development of the house of God and his people. He was a strong pillar of evangelism. He did excellently well in respect of his duties of life. He lived an exemplary life, worthy of emulation. He was a man with the zeal to serve God.
Baba Akindele was a spiritual father in the Christian community. A gallant retired soldier and energetic Octogenarian with a deep mind for Christ.
How he trained his children not only to remain in the C&S Church but to be worthy Christian Ambassadors remained a mystery to many.
