The part 2 Law student at the University of
Ibadan, Miss Tunmise Esther Adeyemi, who recited 176 verses of Psalm 119
at the 94th Seraphim Day and landed herself a scholarship from the Rev.
Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi, has confirmed receiving the juicy
scholarship offer.
“When Mama Ajayi held me and hugged me, I felt the anointing of success. I can see success all over me. You know I am also Esther,” she said on Tuesday.
Tunmise, who had represented the Youth Fellowship of The Eternal Sacred Order of The Cherubim & Seraphim in many Bible quiz competitions and won laurels, took the congregation of thousands of Seraphs at the 94th Seraphim Day Celebration on a breath-taking experience by excellently reciting the whole of Psalm 119.
The Psalm is the longest chapter in the Bible with 176 verses.
Immediately after reciting the psalm, the Legal Adviser of the church, Supt Apostle General Wale Taiwo (SAN), gave Tunmise N100, 000 in appreciation of her brilliance.
Also, the Supreme Head of the Church, His Most Eminence, Dr Prophet Solomon Adegboyega,
volunteered to mentor her and urged Tunmise to continue to make the C & S proud.
“From today, you are my daughter, I will mentor you,” Alao said.
The icing on the cake for Tunmise was when Rev Mother Esther Ajayi offered her a mouth-watering scholarship that will ensure that she gets the best of education anywhere in the world.
True to her words, therefore, Mother Ajayi was said to have fulfilled her promise on Tuesday.
The Psalm 119 reciter said Mother Ajayi had taken over her education expenses including her school fees, book allowance, feeding and hostel fees “because I live in a private hostel.”
Fielding questions on when to change to a private school as Mother Ajayi had promised, Tunmise said, “Rev Mother Ajayi and my dad discussed extensively on the matter; I am already a Part 2 law student at the University of Ibadan and I have just started my first semester exam. Leaving UI now means I have to go and start as a fresh student in another school.
“So, my father convinced Mama Ajayi to let me continue here in UI and Mama said that meant I had to do my Masters abroad by the special grace of God.
“This is OK for me. I love UI and I love C & S Unification at the UI. We have a good fellowship, strong and very spiritual. We are even planning to buy our bus.
“I see this scholarship as a challenge to be more focused on my studies and I want to promise Mama Ajayi and everybody that I will study harder and with God’s grace and His mercy, I will come out with First Class and Mama Ajayi will attend my convocation both in UI and the Law School.
Speaking further, Tunmise’s father, Snr Supt Apostle Muyiwa Adeyemi, said, “Our decision is that she can’t leave UI now but she should complete her course in that school. Let me say this, Mama Ajayi had even asked us to go and search online for the best university with the best law faculty in the world but that means she will start all over again, the admission may not even come until next year.
“Mama agreed with us and promised to ensure she goes for her post-graduate abroad. We pray God will spare her life to continue her humanitarian and philanthropic works around the world.
“Surprisingly, less than 24 hours that we agreed, she made good her promise.
“If UI could produce 12 First Class graduates at the Law School last year, I see it as a good school.
Adeyemi, who is also the Chief PRO of the C& S Unification, said, “What people don’t know is that we have many great youths doing wonderfully well in the C & S. What they need is support and mentoring. I am glad about what is happening now among our youths. The man heading them has a PhD, I am talking about Ayegbusi from Ekiti State. I think the church should work out scholarships for First Class students and those with Distinctions from the polytechnics to encourage them. Mama Ajayi is a future-builder that is why she is encouraging a lot of youths in the Unification.
“I was in a meeting she held with some youth leaders last Friday at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, in preparation for their Mega Concert that will gulp millions of Naira. She insisted that all the contracts must be given to Seraphs even those that had been given to non-Seraphs should be retrieved. She encouraged them to start their businesses and prayed for them to be great entrepreneurs.
“We need more of such person and I want to
thank Baba Olori and all our Baba Aladuras for the development and good
things happening now in the church. Baba Olori is a God-sent to champion
the new era that will take the church to a higher level.”
