All is set for the 2022 Annual General Conference of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria to be hosted by the C & S Ona Iwa Mimo Conference at Igboho, a sprawling community in Oyo State.
A statement by the Chief Public Relations Officer of the Church, Senior Superintendent Apostle Muyiwa Adeyemi, on Wednesday, said the programme would begin on Thursday, January 27, 2022, by 10 am with the opening ceremony and end on Sunday with a thanksgiving service.
“The annual largest assembly of all C & S leaders from Nigeria and all over the world provides an opportunity to review activities of the church and chart a new course for the new year,” the statement said.
The Supreme Head of C & S Unification Church of Nigeria, His Most Eminence, Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao, who will preside over the conference, is expected to lead other Baba Aladuras (church leaders and primates) to the August gathering, according to the statement.
The PRO was quoted as saying, “The theme of this year’s conference is: ‘Preserving the Sanctity of the C&S Basics’ while the theme paper will be presented by Professor T. O. Odekunle, a distinguished Seraph and Professor of Geography at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.”
Some of the dignitaries expected at the opening ceremony include the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; Onigboho of Igboho, Oba John Oyekola Bolarinwa, Ajagungbade II, and other traditional rulers and chiefs.
Others are the immediate past Registrar of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board, Prof Ojedibu Ojerinde; House of Representatives member representing Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olumide Abiodun Ojerinde, and representatives of the Adeola dynasty of Igboho.
The statement advised delegates going to Igboho from Lagos to go through Ibadan, Iseyin roads and disclosed that adequate security had been provided on the roads.
