As you are reading this piece, the Mount Zion Youth Society of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church is presently holding three-day prayer retreat tagged ‘2020 Prayer Retreat Season 8’ with the theme: “Sanctified to Reign”.
The event, which began on a good note on 30th of January 2020, would be a three day of words, worship and prayer featuring the Prelate of ESOCS, Dr David D.I Bob-Manuel, Elder Michael Eze and host of other notable men of God.
It was gathered that members of ESOCS from different parts of the country are still trooping in as Agbor Provincial Wilderness, Ibusa, Delta State is filled to the brim at the moment.
And since God “dwells” in the atmosphere of His praise, according to the scripture, the three-day retreat is highly filled with praise and worship to raise the heart of members into the joyous presence and peace of God.
According to the organisers, the mission is to evangelise and to arise the Africans in Nigeria in particular and the whole world in general to the practice of spiritual Christian life and faith as thought by Christ Himself.
“The vision is to create a platform for learning, growth and development, upon which the youth of the ESOCS can build on to enlarge their evangelical coasts. We had a vision to train/mentor the youth and give these youth the chance to use their gifts for the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ,” one of the elders said while addressing the people.
Meanwhile, since the establishment of MZYS, the group has continued to hold international conferences in order to continue to remind the youth of the reasons behind their formation and to review the extent to which the MZYS has been able to live up to these expectations.
