The Primate of the Church of the Lord Worldwide, Rev. Rufus Ositelu, has called for the establishment of a hall of shame for corrupt persons in the country.
He said this would curb graft, adding that the fight against corrupt persons should be intensified.
Ositelu in his New Year message obtained by Adura International Magazine said winning the fight against corruption was cardinal if the nation must progress and develop.
The primate said, “The fight against corruption should be intensified more vigorously by the Federal Government in the New Year. I wish at this juncture to call for the establishment of a national hall of shame for corrupt individuals for posterity.
“This, I believe will fast track winning the fight against corruption. Winning the fight against corruption is cardinal if we must progress and develop as a nation and as a people.”
The cleric said the diversification policy of the Federal Government could grow the economy if properly implemented and adequately harnessed.
The Christian leader admonished the government to give fiscal federalism due consideration “as it is a major antidote for our challenges.”
